We generally grow German White Garlic but at times have offerred offered Chesnok Red, Music, Russian Red, and other varieties.
Garlic is harvested mid-late summer and stores at room temperature through mid-winter.
When we run out of our own Garlic, we next try to purchase Garlic from local organic growers, but in the end choose Costco Garlic because their Garlic is grown in the U.S.

German White garlic is a large, porcelain type garlic bulb that contains 4-5 large easy-to-peel cloves. The white skin on the German White has delicate purple stripes. This variety is one of the best garlics in taste without all the spiciness.
Chesnok Red is garlic from the Republic of Georgia in the former USSR. Chesnok is a standard Purple Stripe and has the typical heavy purple striping that gives this variety its name. They have about as much purple as Rocamboles but the background color of the bulb wrappers is much more whitish, making for a very attractive appearance.
Music is a full flavored, rich aromatic garlic making this one of the best known and most sought after varieties.
Russian Red is a Rocambole garlic with a rich, musky, garlicky flavor and is very hot when eaten raw. Rocambole garlics have brownish-purplish bulb wrappers and easy to peel brownish clove covers and so does Killarney Red
